Sarah

I am a survivor of a traumatic experience that occurred when I was 19, now in my thirties, I’ve been involved in therapy ever since. I have been treated by psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors, and I felt I was beyond help or that was what I was made to feel like by all these professionals. Many of the therapists throughout the therapy sessions treated me like I wasn’t even in the room, they disconnected from my story and that made me feel worthless, unseen and unheard. Worst of all, they made me feel like I contributed to my trauma, and for years, I blamed myself.

While visiting Coles at the shopping centre, I saw Jeff loading groceries into his work vehicle, which was clearly labelled for Soul Star Counselling. I took the opportunity to ask him about his business, and he provided a thorough explanation of his services. Jeff showed real interest in staying in touch, suggesting we meet again and assuring me that these conversations would be free of charge. His professionalism and approachable nature made it easy to connect with him. Jeff quickly scheduled my therapy session, ensuring I received timely support.

After just one session, I felt both supported and understood, as Jeff helped me gain new perspective on my situation. Throughout our sessions, he has continuously demonstrated compassion, kindness, and a deep dedication to his clients. The level of support and guidance Jeff offers is truly remarkable; I consider him an outstanding counsellor. I have experienced such profound personal change that even friends and family have noticed significant improvements in my life. I am deeply grateful to Jeff for everything he has done for me.
